School benefits from test drives

Dams Ford Lincoln Sales Ltd. is bringing Ford Motor Company of Canada’s innovative Drive One 4 UR School program to Fort Langley this weekend, in an effort to raise up to $6,000 for Langley Fine Arts School.

For every person who test drives a Ford vehicle at the school on Saturday, April 2, Dams Ford Lincoln and Ford of Canada will donate $20 to Langley Fine Arts School’s dry grad event.

“We at Dams Ford Lincoln are thrilled to partner with Langley Fine Arts School to conduct the Drive One 4 UR School event,” said Amber Jackson, business development centre manager at Dams Ford Lincoln. “This is a great opportunity to raise money for the school’s dry grad activities and at the same time introduce parents, teenagers and other drivers to our high-quality line-up and innovative safety technologies.”

The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and will feature the Ford Fiesta, Explorer, Focus, Fusion and F-150, to name a few.

Since the start of Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School and Community programs in 2010, more than 25,000 test drives at more than 160 events have generated over $460,000 in donations for high schools and organizations in Canada. This is the first Drive One 4 UR School event held by Dams Ford Lincoln.

“We are always in need of support for activities such as dry grad events,” said parent Balan Moorthy. “The dedication of Dams Ford Lincoln to raising funds for Langley Fine Arts School is greatly appreciated. We encourage everyone in the Langley community to come out and show their support.”
