There have been multiple reports of a bear in the Fort Langley area.
Among them, long-time residents Rita and Harry Methorst, who said the bruin was seen in their back yard early Thursday night, June 13.
It happened around 7 p.m.
"We've lived here since 1970 and we've never seen a bear," Rita told the Langley Advance Times.
Neighbour Jonathan Dressler captured the visit on video.
It appeared the bear had gotten into some garbage and also went after a bird feeder, Harry reported.
"The pole where the bird feeder was hanging on, he knocked it over," he said.
"I've never seen a bear here, ever."
Other reports on social media suggest the same bear was wandering through the community in the early evening.
The provincial BC Conservation Officer Service has been notified, the couple said. The Langley Advance Times has reached out to the service for more information.
