Update: police have left the scene and residents were allowed to return to their home. RCMP said a statement would be released.
A Langley City apartment building has been evacuated and police have cordoned off the area in the 5300 block of 204 Street.
On Monday, July 1, police were called about 6 a.m. to the three-storey building, RCMP Cpl. Sean Oliver said.
"There is no risk to the public," Oliver said.
