With four minutes remaining of first period, Kyren Gronick took the Giants to their first lead 2-1, after he backhanded home a loose puck for his fifth goal of the season.

Tyler Thorpe wrapped up the period by finishing a feed from Mazden Leslie, to make it 3-1 Vancouver.

Kamloops hit the ice hard in second period, with Van Olm cutting the lead to 3-2 at the 4:19 minute mark.

Just minutes later in a power play, Nathan Behm tied the game 3-3.

In the final five minutes of the period, Blazers goaltender Dylan Ernst made a diving save on Aaron Obobaifo, while Kamloops went back the other way to score on a 2-on-0 after Andrew Thompson beat Brett Mirwald with a shot on the blocker side – bringing the game 4-3 Kamloops.

Behm extended the lead 5-3 for Kamloops early in the third period, and Van Olm scored an empty net goal to bring Blazers the win 6-3.
