Connor Levis has ended a five-year run with the Kamloops Blazers to play for the Vancouver Giants.

To get him, Vancouver gave three draft picks to the bottom-dwelling Blazers – a first-round draft pick in 2025, a second-round draft pick in 2024 and a fourth-round draft pick in 2026.

Kamloops is currently ranked 22nd of 22 teams in the WHL this season, with just nine wins in 38 games, while Giants are 17th with 16 wins in 39 games.

Levis, 19, who is from Vancouver, was a seventh-round selection by the Winnipeg Jets in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft (210th overall), after registering 27 goals and adding 40 assists for 67 points last season for Kamloops.

This season, the 6’ 2”, 195 lb. forward ranks third among Blazers players with 28 points in 37 games (10G-18A).

Selected by the Blazers in the first round, 20th overall in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft, Levis has collected 151 career points (62G-89A) in 195 Western Hockey League games, all with Kamloops. He also has 16 career playoff points (4G-12A) in 31 career WHL playoff games, plus four points in four Memorial Cup tournament games (1G-3A).

Announcing the deal on Wednesday, Jan. 10, Giants General Manager Barclay Parneta said the Giants were “really happy to add an NHL-drafted player with Memorial Cup experience to our forward group. Connor was a big part of the winning culture in Kamloops and we look forward to him joining us on our road trip later this week.”

With the trade, the Blazers now have four first-round draft picks, four second-round picks and five third-round picks combined in the 2024 and 2025 WHL Prospect Drafts.
