Dear Editor,

How does it help Canada by giving Ukraine $9.5 billion of borrowed tax-dollars?

Overspending adds to spiraling inflation caused by debt that is already out of control.

It costs us more for food and gas, puts housing even further out of reach, etc.

What interest does Canada have to be meddling in Ukraine geopolitics?

In our trade relations (government information)… in 2022, we exported only $150 million and imported $271 million of goods from Ukraine for a trade deficit of $121 million.

Why is Canada involved in a conflict on the other side of the planet?

How can there be any resolve as there is no diplomatic effort being made by either the Ukrainians or the Russians.

Why does the collective West not want a serious diplomatic effort, but wants an expansion of the conflict?

The large amounts of money and weapons sent to the Zelensky regime is like a black hole, no oversight or audits. Nobody knows where it all went.

Zelensky travels the Western world always asking for more money and weapons which can only result in more Ukrainians dying and destruction of their country.

Appears the only way to resolve this is if the money and weapons were cut off, it would be over in a month and it would have to be resolved diplomatically.

Russia is not interested in conquering to acquire more territory. Their stated goal was to protect the ethnic Russian people in the Donbas and de-Nazify the Ukraine.

Canada, after WW2 used to be respected worldwide for its diplomacy and peacekeeping missions, not warmongering and aggressively funding escalation of conflicts.

We need to return to that dignified role.
